About The Firm
In 1974, when the law firm that would become Madden, Jiganti, Moore & Sinars LLP was established, its members envisioned creating a boutique firm that would specialize in the areas of taxation and business transactions and that would provide an unparalleled level of service to its clients. In order to realize this vision, the firm assembled a team of tax professionals that could provide “one-stop shopping” in the core areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, family office services, tax planning, tax representation, tax compliance and general business transactions, including the general representation of family and other closely-held business interests. The firm’s members believed that a small firm with a tight-knit, highly-skilled group of professionals could forge relationships with its clients that would transcend the typical lawyer-client relationship and that would facilitate the formulation of more cost-effective and creative solutions.
Madden, Jiganti, Moore & Sinars LLP currently is comprised of fourteen professionals, eleven attorneys and three certified public accountants. In keeping with the firm’s desire to provide a multi-faceted approach to the areas in which it provides services, most of the firm’s lawyers are certified public accountants and/or have a masters of law in taxation degree; and all of its legal support personnel have a masters of science in taxation degree. The firm’s professionals are dedicated to maintaining their skills at the highest levels and providing leadership in the profession. Toward that end, firm members have written and taught in programs for their professional peers on a regular basis for many years. In recent years, three of its partners were named Illinois “Super Lawyers” by other members of the profession. The firm’s professionals have consistently held leadership positions at the Bar and in civic and philanthropic organizations.
The firm provides counsel and service to its clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax planning, tax compliance, tax representation and general business transactions, including real estate transactions. The firm also provides highly personalized assistance and specialized services to a growing number of its clients who have established, or are seeking to establish, family offices. These services include estate planning that is coordinated among multiple generations of family members, personal, partnership and trust accounting, tax planning and compliance, philanthropic planning, bill payment, trust administration, insurance coordination, nuptial planning and family communication and meeting planning. The firm relishes the challenge of understanding the unique needs and objectives of the client who has established a family office; and it designs, implements and coordinates the specialized services that are necessary to meet those needs and fulfill those objectives.
The firm works closely with its clients and makes a concerted effort to learn and understand their businesses and needs. Its professionals take pride in and strive to give each client the personal attention that the client deserves; they listen to the client, communicate with the client in clear, precise language and regularly update the client on the progress of the matters at hand. A hallmark of the firm is that many of its clients tend to be self-selected. That is to say, new clients often are friends of existing clients who referred them to the firm due to the personal attention and high quality of legal and tax advice that they received.
At Madden, Jiganti, Moore & Sinars LLP, we focus on ascertaining our clients’ objectives and achieving those objectives through responsiveness, hard work and legal creativity. We truly believe that the success of the firm can only be measured by the satisfaction and success of our clients.
